Under his leadership, the business was awarded significant key contracts across the region and strengthened the group’s overall leadership position in this market. Mark has previously held positions across Europe including Germany, the Netherlands, and Northern Europe. In 2004, he became CEO of SITA Germany, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer to the Group’s Northern Europe division overseeing operational service activities across Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxemburg.
Mark is a member of the SUEZ Global Executive Management Committee.
Omer Soker is the CEO of the National Association of Charitable Recycling Organisations (NACRO) which advocates on behalf of the charitable reuse, recycling and retail sector. NACRO’s key strategic objectives are linked seamlessly to the needs of both state and local government in maximising both environmental and social impacts. Eliminating dumping at charities and increasing opportunities for reuse and recycling are key priorities, along with advancing circular economy principles.
Omer is the author of The Future of Associations and an association strategist who works with not-for-profit boards to accelerate social, environmental and economic impact for their organisations, as well as all stakeholders, including local communities.
One of the things Omer loves most about working with NACRO is the opportunity to deliver both social and environmental impact, and make a meaningful contribution to the future agenda – including the need to embrace Circular Economy principles in action.
Rebecca has worked at the WALGA since 2003, had the great pleasure of serving as WA WMAA President and received the Waste Authority WA Waste Champion award in 2014.
Following this time in state government, Gayle worked as a Director in a number of NSW councils, primarily looking after service delivery and assets. She developed and delivered a number of waste management contracts on behalf of councils, as well as managed environment and regulatory departments, including rangers and compliance officers.
