Opal Cove Resort
The conference venue, Opal Cove Resort is a 4 star resort with an absolute beachfront position on the beautiful beach of Korora Bay, just a few kilometers north of the Coffs Harbour CBD.The resort offers fantastic conferencing facilities to cater to all delegate needs, as well as all the usual resort facilities including a swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym. It also has a 9 hole golf course and day spa.
Opal Cove Resort offers 130 hotel style rooms, each with their own private balcony or terrace and views towards the Pacific Ocean or over the resort’s landscaped gardens. There are also fully self contained two and three bedroom villas situated beside the golf course and 10 luxury beachfront four bedroom units located only 20 metres from the Pacific Ocean with private nature reserve views.
The villas are a cost effective option with ensuites to the main bedroom, full kitchen and laundry facilities, and separate lounge, dining and outdoor barbeque areas, as are the four bedroom units which feature two and a half bathrooms, full kitchen and laundry facilities, double garage with secure internal access, iPod docking stations and large flat screen televisions.
Full hot buffet breakfasts are included with resort room accommodation and are optional with villas.
Alternative Accommodation
Due to limited onsite availability, not all delegates are able to stay at Opal Cove Resort, so alternative accommodation is provided at three neighbouring resorts, all within 10 minutes drive of Opal Cove Resort. For those without their own transport, a free scheduled shuttle bus service operates between all venues. Full hot buffet breakfasts are included with all of the below accommodation options.
Novotel Pacific Bay Resort
The well known Novotel Pacific Bay Resort features a beachfront location at Charlesworth Bay, and is framed by ocean, mountains, natural forest and banana plantations.
A variety of accommodation is available including resort rooms, spa suites and 2 bedroom suites at very competitive prices.
The conference dinner, held on Wednesday 3rd May, will take place at the Novotel Pacific Bay Resort, making it a popular accommodation option.
Breakfree Aanuka Beach Resort
Breakfree Aanuka Beach Resort is an absolute beachfront tropical style resort offering a range of accommodation including studio hotel rooms, Paradise Spa Bures, and two, three and four bedroom Spa Villas that can sleep up to six people.
All accommodation is low-lying, tastefully decked out and includes the comforts of home including cable television and a DVD player, and Diggers Beach is just a short stroll from your room.
Aqualuna Beach Resort
Aqualuna Beach Resort offers another absolute beachfront position with dramatic views of superb Sapphire Beach and the stunning blue Pacific Ocean.
The resort features contemporary holiday apartments with one and two bedroom villas, King Spa studio suites and Executive two bedroom apartments available.
Getting there
Coffs Harbour is approximately 6 hours drive (554 kms) north of Sydney and 5 hours (427 kms) south of Brisbane. Opal Cove Resort is located on the Pacific Highway less than 10 minutes drive north of Coffs Harbour’s town centre.Qantas, Virgin Australia,Tiger and Brindabella Airlines all offer flights to Coffs Harbour, and trains and coaches also service the area. Conference attendees arriving and departing by plane will be offered free scheduled airport transfers at the start and end of the conference.
