Elizabeth Drive landfill gas to power facility.
Phil Carbins, SUEZ
Details
At the Kemps Creek Resource Recovery Park in Western Sydney, SUEZ is helping Sydney residents and businesses reduce the environmental impact of waste and conserve resources. SUEZ’ Advanced Waste Treatment (SAWT) facility diverts up to 55% of waste from landfill by turning household and commercial waste into compost. Waste that is not recovered is safely and responsibly disposed of at the Resource Recovery Park’s landfill facility.
In an innovative move, SUEZ, in partnership with AGL, is now reducing the environmental footprint of its Kemps Creek operations. AGL has recently constructed a new Landfill Gas to Power Generation Facility, with SUEZ committing to supply landfill gas to the facility along with the purchase of electricity for SAWT’s operations.
