During the week she works in sustainability, with a particular interest in waste prevention through sharing and reuse. In her personal time she volunteers for not for profit projects, including bush care, environmental education, community owned renewables, and most recently has founded the Inner West Tool Library - Sydney's first tool library.
Having lived in a number of countries and being involved in different fields of work, Amy appreciates the diversity and expertise of people. She loves connecting with engaged communities and thrives on seeing connections made and the amazing ideas, projects and collaborations that result.
Alix Baltais is a Senior Consultant at EnviroCom Australia leading the Brisbane team. Alix develops and coordinates Waste Education Strategies, Waste Composition and Behavioural Assessments, and Planning projects undertaken across the company and is instrumental in training and mentoring staff in the Graduate Program. Alix is a member of the Board of WRIQ, Chair of the WRIQ Future Leaders Committee and Vice Chair of the WMRR Queensland Waste Educators Group.
Jane Dyson is a Community Engagement Officer for Waste and Recycling at Redland City Council. She has over 20 years’ experience working in marketing roles for both large corporates and small start-ups in Melbourne, London and Brisbane. Her passion for the environment and sustainability lead her to completing a ‘Green Marketing’ subject at Griffith University in 2017 and she continues to work towards sustainability behaviour change practices within the community, her work and at home.
Wendy Sutton, Resource Recovery Education Officer joined the KESAB environmental solutions team in 2016, with 11 years’ of experience and qualifications in environmental management. Enthusiastic and passionate about resource recovery and education Wendy primarily develops and delivers waste and sustainability education programs to develop awareness, understanding and change.
Wendy has a special interest in working with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander peoples and multicultural communities.
Following this time in state government, Gayle worked as a Director in a number of NSW councils, primarily looking after service delivery and assets. She developed and delivered a number of waste management contracts on behalf of councils, as well as managed environment and regulatory departments, including rangers and compliance officers.
