Conference Format

We are excited to announce that the Waste 2025 Conference is scheduled to take place from 13-15 May 2025 at Opal Cove Resort, Coffs Harbour.  

The structure

The Waste 2025 Conference will be a hybrid event featuring:

  • Face-to-face conference presentations;
  • Indoor and outdoor exhibition;
  • Live broadcasts of all presentations for those who cannot attend the face-to-face event; 
  • An interactive Equipment & Technology Expo with associated presentations and;
  • Three networking events over 3 days. 

The three day conference program will feature a series of keynote addresses, panel discussions and workshops, with each day including four streams of conference sessions that can be tailored to your learning needs.


Registration

  • All registrations are to be completed online (bookings are due to open March 2025). 
  • Delegates will be able to register and attend for the full 3 day conference, or can select a 1 or 2 day option.
  • For delegates attending the conference in person, at the time of registration they will be asked to nominate which conference streams they will be participating in. This information will be used by the organisers as a guide to room capacity limitations. Program released March 2025 (prior to the opening of registrations).
  • Presenters will have the option of registering for the full 3 day conference OR the day they are presenting. If selecting a one day registration, presenters will be able to attend the conference sessions (that they nominate at the time of registration) throughout that day.


Sponsors and exhibitors

The indoor and outdoor exhibition layout can be found on the Exhibition Opportunities page of this website:

  • A maximum of one (1) sponsor/exhibitor registration (SER) is included when booking any indoor exhibition space. 
  • Should more than one person wish to participate in the exhibition, additional indoor/outdoor sponsor/exhibitor registrations can be purchased separately.
  • Sponsor/exhibitor registrations will be able to attend all Expo presentations on the Tuesday (located in the outdoor marquee). They will not be able to attend the conference presentations unless a stream pass is purchased. 
  • All attendees will have access to the conference presentations, either via the live stream, or after the event. 
  • Morning and afternoon tea will be held among our exhibitors and lunch will be located in the Horizons Restaurant and Terrace.


Social events

There will be three social events:

  • Welcome Reception (Tuesday 13th May) – this will take place outside among the outdoor exhibitors at Opal Cove Resort (weather permitting). 
  • Conference Dinner (Wednesday 14th May) – This will take place at Pacific Bay Resort and will begin outdoors (weather permitting) to enable maximum networking opportunities. A seated (themed) dinner will take place inside.
  • Finale Buffet (Thursday 15th May) – this will take place in the Horizons Restaurant and on the Terrace at Opal Cove Resort (weather permitting).
