Networking is a central element of the Waste 2026 experience, with three signature social events designed to help delegates connect, unwind and celebrate in a relaxed setting.
Full Conference Package registrations include access to all three networking events. For single- and two-day attendees, social events can be added on registration.
Taking place on Tuesday 12th May from 5.30pm - 7.30pm, the Welcome Reception will be held outside among the outdoor exhibits at Opal Cove Resort (weather permitting). It includes complimentary drinks and light standing refreshments and will provide delegates the opportunity to catch up with old acquaintances and make new ones while browsing the many products and new technology that will be on display.
The evening will continue with a post-reception function at Horizons Bar from 8-11pm, extending the entertainment and networking opportunities.
The conference dinner will begin with pre-dinner drinks from 6.15pm outdoors on the Fairway amongst the resort’s stunning grounds (weather permitting), before moving indoors for a lively themed evening of great food, celebration and fun.
The conference dinner is always a highlight, with delegates embracing the opportunity to dress up in theme (to be announced before the conference) and hot competition for best dressed prizes. Complimentary shuttle transport will run between venues at the beginning and end of the night.
The conference finale buffet will be held at the Horizons Restaurant and outdoor terrace (weather permitting). It’s an ideal way to wrap up your Waste 2026 experience, offering buffet dinning, live music and a casual atmosphere to catch up with friends old and new before saying goodbye for another year.
